Everything is provided for you — no shopping for materials, no prep work! Just show up and have fun! The cost of the class includes all materials — paper, carrageenan bath, alum, distilled water, paint, use of tanks and tools, and handouts. No previous art experience of any kind necessary — just a sense of adventure!
EXPERIENCE THE TANK MARBLING CLASS
Time: 3 hours

Get a peek into the world of marbling in this three-hour class perfect for those short on time but curious about the art form and wanting to play in the tank.
In this hands-on class, you will learn the basics to get you started designing both traditional marbled papers as well as your own creations. You will marble in a medium-size tank (11" x 14") on a variety of paper colors and weights. By the end of class, you will have 10-15 marbled pieces to take home and use for bookbinding, card making, scrap booking, framing, and more.
This class is designed for beginners interested in exploring the ancient art form of floating paint on thickened water — without the hassle of prep, set up, and shopping for materials!
BEGINNING MARBLING CLASS
Time: 6 hours
Group Lesson Cost: $195
Experience the joys of marbling in this hands-on class that will allow you to explore colors, learn basic techniques and patterns, experiment with your own designs — and give you the confidence to start marbling on your own at home!
In this 6-hour session, you will learn the basics to get you started designing both traditional marbled papers as well as your own creations. In addition, you will learn how to make the bath, mix the mordant, and alum your own papers. You will marble primarily in a medium-size tank (11" x 14") and also have access to a large tank (20" x 25"). A variety of paper colors, weights, and sizes will be supplied and by the end of the class, you will have 20-30 marbled pieces to take home and use for bookbinding, card making, scrap booking, framing, and more.
This class is personalized for beginners and returning students alike.
INTRO TO MARBLING IMMERSION CLASS
Time: 2 days
Group Lesson Cost: $425
Immerse yourself in the world of marbling in this two-day class where you will learn the nuts and bolts of the art form, dive into traditional pattern making, and have time for creative exploration.
In this class, we will walk through the steps of marbling that will take you on a journey from preparation (making the bath, mixing the paint, aluming the paper) to learning patterns and designs to discussing common problems and solutions. We will play in a variety of tank sizes and marble on a wide array of materials including paper, wood, and canvas. By the end of the class, you will have created dozens of marbled pieces that can be used for artwork, bookbinding, card making, scrap booking, framing, and more.
This class combines the Experience the Tank and Beginning Marbling classes but goes deeper into marbling by learning more advanced patterns, marbling on a wider variety of mediums, and marbling in all three tank sizes. It is designed for beginners as well as those who want to expand their marbling practice.
